The first of five ATI hydraulic linear valve actuators has been installed on the first section of the 150 mile pipeline that will ultimately provide the Dallas- Ft. Worth (Texas) metroplex with drinking water to meet the demand of its continuing explosive population growth. The 110-inch stroke, 30-inch bore ATI actuator, the largest for water service, will operate Blackhall Engineering Ltd.’s 108-inch diameter parallel faced metal-seated gate valve, also considered the world’s largest.
